With Your Destiny (WYD) Review
With Your Destiny, or WYD for short, is a 3D Fantasy MMORPG. The game was heavily influenced by classical RPGs like Diablo 2 and Dungeon Siege, as the game’s graphics and interface are quite similar to those games. With Your Destiny’s most notable feature is the game’s ridiculously high XP rate and the game’s enormous level cap which is currently above level 300.
Graphics: Low Quality
EXP Rate: Very High
PvP: Siege Mode / Guild War / Open PvP / Channel War
Filesize: ~ 175 MB
Uniqueness of WYD (With Your Destiny):
- Level cap is 400
- GOD and Soul Class (Higher Level).
- Huge in-game events.
- In-game Bot and many much more….
WYD (With Your Destiny) Classes:
Trans Knight – Trans Knight’s are the traditional ‘warrior’ archetype in With Your Destiny. They are capable of dealing massive amounts of damage in melee range and are capable of using deadly area of effect skills. They can wear heavy armor and have the most hit points.
Foema – Foemas are the traditional offensive spell casters in With Your Destiny. They lack physical strength and have the least hit points in the game, but they are capable of dealing massive damage from a distance with their magic.
Beast Master- Beast Masters are basically ‘druids’ in With Your Destiny. They have strong offensive capabilities with their nature based magic and very capable melee strength. They can shape shift into different beasts to gain bonus stats and skills.
Hunter- Hunters are the generic ‘archer’ characters in With Your Destiny. They are masters of the bow and claw weapons and are capable of dealing large amounts of damage very quickly, but have relatively low defensive capabilities compared to the Trans Knight.
Whats More about WYD?
When I first launched With Your Destiny, I really wasn’t expecting a lot from the game as the graphics were quite dated and I’ve only heard bad things about the game. My first complaint with the game is the fact that the game has absolutely no character customization. The character creation screen basically only requires one thing from the player and that’s a player a name. That’s right, I can’t even change my character’s hair, face or even gender. This wouldn’t really be a problem if the game had a large selection of avatars to choose from, but the game only has four. I’m not sure why a lot of games have such terrible character customization options, as having a character that looks identical to everyone else is an immediate turn off for some players. After creating my character and logging into the game world I was disappointed to see that the game has absolutely no tutorial or introduction. Heck the game doesn’t even have any music at all! Luckily for me, I know exactly what to do at a time like this…. Grind!
PvP is certainly the main focus in With Your Destiny, as the game offers a large variety of PvP options. Players can PK any other player anywhere in the game world, participate in guild vs guild, channel war and even siege war. Most of the PvP options are self explanatory, with ‘Channel’ and ‘Siege’ war being the most interesting. In ‘Channel War’ all of the players in one of the game’s channels to fight all of the players on another channel with the winner channel being rewarded with bonus experience and other rewards. I’m surprised no other game has done anything similar to this, as it’s certainly innovative and a lot of fun. The game’s ‘Siege War’ is basically an all out battle between the game’s largest guilds to try and capture ‘Noatun castle’. Whichever guild captures the castle gains exclusive rights to collect taxes from certain NPC merchants in the game. Guilds can also compete to capture individual towns, which also grant the winning guild the privilege of collecting taxes in that particular town. The fact is, if you’re looking for a game with a heavy emphasis on PvP, With Your Destiny may be worth your time.
The fact is that With Your Destiny has A LOT of interesting features, but the game is unfortunately also plagued with countless awkward glitches and confusing game mechanics. The first most awkward game mechanic I found was the game’s HP recovery system. I noticed that while grinding, I found that my hit points would fully recover almost randomly. I first though that my HP would fully recover every time I killed a monster, but I later learned that that wasn’t true and that hit points were automatically fully healed every 10 seconds or so. I’m not sure why the game does this, but it makes leveling up way too easy, as there is absolutely no challenge. Another obscure bug I found in the game was that if you accidently launch the game’s cash shop, the only way to exit it is to restart your game. That’s right; you can’t quit the darn cash shop, because there is no ‘exit’ button. Seriously, how could the developers overlook such an obvious issue with the game? Heck, I couldn’t even physically enter the cash shop because apparently the minimum level to even access the shop is 100, so I was stuck at a page that kept telling me I couldn’t enter the cash shop until I gained more experience with the only exit being a ctrl + alt + delete. Lastly, another bug I noticed in the game was that monsters would sometimes randomly walk away even while being attacked, which was pretty silly to say the least, as your avatar would have to chase after them to kill them. Ultimately, a lot of the game’s core mechanics feel clumsy, which in and of itself is a good reason to avoid With Your Destiny, especially with so many other great free MMORPGs out there.
With Your Destiny is certainly a unique game with a lot of unique features, but the fact that there are so many bugs and glitches really hurts the playability of the game. If you can look past the game’s obvious flaws, it still has a lot to offer, especially if for fans of PvP.
